Our Moving Checklist
☐ Reserve a moving company for your move as soon as you know you are moving
☐ Prepare your packing supplies and consider plastic box rentals which make packing easy and convenient and helps save a few trees!
☐ Start cleaning out closets and put aside unwanted items you may be able to donate to charity
☐ If packing feels too overwhelming hire professional packers – call us and we can arrange it for you
☐ Begin packing each room separately starting with the room that gets the least amount of use
☐ Ensure all breakables have been removed from dresser drawers and packed away properly
☐ Fragile items should be wrapped with packing paper or bubble wrap
☐ Gather and separate from packing, all the items that cannot be transported by Vancouver Best Movers (firearms, combustibles, chemicals, pets, etc)
☐ Don’t pack your essential items and things you use daily until the last moment possible
☐ Make sure to complete a change of address form with your local post office and update all your accounts of your new address
☐ Schedule disconnections for utilities and services such as gas, electric, water, cable, internet, telephone and schedule connections for your new home
☐ Make sure to reserve the elevator with your building for moving day and to secure parking space closest to your entrance
